“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When I was collecting disability I held onto this scripture for a long time because I knew God had more for me. After all, that’s not prospering. Soon the Lord gave me a job. My first two jobs only lasted about a year and a half each. The first one was through a Temp Agency and quite frankly the Manager didn’t like me for some reason. My second job is where I got my start in Customer Service, it was for a company that catered to the Amish and those living off the grid. As a result, they were swamped during the whole Y2K madness where anyone thought when the year 2000 hit we would lose power etc. As we know that didn’t happen so the company ended up laying most of us off. But it was okay, because when one door closes another opens, and that’s when He started blessing me. I had told Him I just wanted to be there longer than a year and a half. And I ended up being there for eight and a half! During my time there I got overtime practically every week so I was blessed financially. I became a Supervisor and eventually a Manager, however, that was only for three months because we were told the company was downsizing and the Manager at the time decided to quit before we closed. That ended up being a blessing too because I got a pay raise when I moved into her position and that in turn helped me get more money in my severance pay and unemployment! He also blessed me with my home and a prison ministry called Hope Outreach. If He did all this for me He’ll do it for you!
